Experience

  • The Ohio State University

    Undergraduate Researcher at tOSU

May 2024 - Current | Kirtland AFB, NM

Researching the development and integration of ML into a new class of wearable coils that capture joint kinematics (flexion/rotation) without impeding natural movement. Work is alongside the Wearable and Implantable Technologies Research Group at OSU under the mentorship of Dr. Asimina Kiourti.

Currently investigating how machine learning can be applied to improve the accuracy and ease of use of the wearable coils in addition to working with the group to develop the equipment for future use.

  • AFRL Scholars Program

    AFRL Scholars Program Intern

    September 2023 - April 2024 | Kirtland AFB, NM

Project Title: Associated Attack Surfaces and Vulnerabilities of Space Vehicle Autonomous Functions
Project Description: Surveyed cyber-attacks against terrestrial systems with autonomous capabilities to determine probable vulnerabilities for space systems with similar capabilities

  • AFRL Scholars Program

    AFRL Scholars Program Intern

    May 2023 - Aug 2023 | Kirtland AFB, NM

Project Title: Trusted Platform Module for Embedded Systems
Project Description: Investigated the application of a commercial trusted platform module (TPM) for hardening an embedded computing system. Developed software to interface with the TPM and integrate its capabilities into the existing embedded software.

  • AES Restaurant Group, LLC

    Arby's Team Member

    Mar 2021 - Jul 2021 | Dayton, OH

I worked part-time as an Arby's Team Member for AES Restaurant Group, LLC. The responsibilities of this position included preparing made-to-order food, taking orders, cleaning the restaurant, and providing respectful and effective customer service. This position taught me the importance of quality customer service and the value of efficiently completing customer requests without issue.

  • Kettering Fairmont High School

    IT Network Administrator Assistant Volunteer

    Sept 2020 - May 2021 | Dayton, OH

I volunteered to assist supporting a local network for my IT career pathway at Kettering Fairmont High School. In this position I diagnosed and repaired issues with existing network access points and network equipment. I also installed and configured new networking equipment including Cisco switches/routers and servers running Windows Server.

Projects

FEH Robot Project

Designed, developed, and programmed a robot in C++ using Ohio State's Proteus microcontroller alongside three other engineers. The robot's purpose was to maneuver through a course performing different tasks, such as flipping a lever or pressing a button.

This project included the design of a WordPress website and documentation for the development and design process. At the end of the project, a final competition against 56 other groups of honors engineering students determined what design most effectively completed the tasks.

FEH Game Dev. Project

Developed a video game in C++ using Ohio State's Proteus microcontroller simulator in a group with one other computer engineer. The simulator used to develop the game acted as a tool to draw shapes in a window, all logic was programmed manually for the game.

This game was designed to be a maze game where the user would drag a block using the mouse through a 2D maze. If the block touched any walls, it would reset the level. This project concluded in a competition where other peers would vote on which game was most fun, and this game won the "Best Game" award against 10 other honors engineering student groups.

Personal Website

Designed and developed a personal website that reflects my skills and attributes. This website was created from scratch using pure HTML, CSS, and JavaScript with Bootstrap 5 as a framework.

By not basing this website off of a template, many of the challenges that hindered development are approached in a unique and creative way that required me to problem solve. Please feel free to look over the code for this website to see how the structure is designed and implemented.
